Preparing to Worship on Sunday, June 8, 2014
Sermon: "Paul’s Epistle to the Philippians: The Lord Is Near"
The preaching passage: Philippians 4:4-7
This Sunday we will continue our sermon series, "Paul's Epistle to the Philippians." It is our prayer that our study of this book will lead our church to a deeper understanding of who we are in Christ and what Christ has called us to as an extension of his body in Birmingham. This Sunday, we will look at several of Paul's closing exhortations: rejoicing at all times, being gracious to all people, and praying about all things.
Songs we'll sing together include:
“Come Thou Almighty King” by de Giardini & Wesley
“O for A Thousand Tongues to Sing” by Glaser & Wesley
“Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)” by Newton & Tomlin
“Before the Throne of God Above” by Bancroft & Cook
“Be Thou My Vision” by Byrne & Hull
See you Sunday!
